What this area actually is
Brookshire, Texas is a small city in Waller County about 34 miles west of downtown Houston. It keeps a relaxed, small-town feel while sitting on the I-10 corridor, which means Katy's shopping and dining are about eight miles east, and downtown Houston is roughly 30 minutes away off-peak.
Schools: Lamar CISD
This part of the Brookshire-Fulshear area is zoned to Lamar Consolidated ISD. The current feeder pattern includes Willie Melton Sr. Elementary, Roberts Middle and Leaman Junior High, and Fulshear High School. Everyday life
H-E-B's Jordan Ranch store is minutes away, and Brookshire's own main street has coffee shops, local markets, and the Brookwood Community's cafe and gardens. For weekends, think stock tank pools in backyards, county fair energy, and quick drives to Katy Mills or Houston's museums.
